The Christmas Letter

Hello, And I know it has been a VERY LOOOOONG TIME !!  But here I am :)
and  A BIG Googley eyed FUNKY Hello to you all friends <3 <3

Every Christmas since starting to create the Funky GeeGee's I have enjoyed creating Christmas Cartoons. It really helps to Get me into the spirit, All festive and Jolly.  And as the Children have grown they have started to look forward to them each year and watching them from blank paper, Sketch and then painted has been a very enjoyable experience for them this year.  So much so that they too have been enjoying some creative writing so we have had some extentions on the Frozen story from my daughter.  And my little boy is Minecraft mad so he has been writing about Steve and Santa . . .Bless them, So special !!  AND WE MUST really appreciate their little imaginations and help to nourish them as they grow.  Our Imaginations are so important to us, They help us to beleive.  And through life as we grow older it becomes harder to beleive with all the mis-trust we find around us..l It is these times when we really must access the imaginary, to help us to beleive and to give us hope and courage and above all . . . .  TO INSPIRE OTHERS to do the same <3

So this year, Instead of just some Christmasy illustrations (Although I really did enjoy Smurfie and the Snowman and Robin last year, and I definatly plan to add to these in the future, Cute little threesome they are <3 BUT  This Year I thought I would add to the normal Festive illustrating and also create a Christmas Story to go along with it.  A magical journey I allowed my mind to take me as I created the story and characters, Beleiving i was there, it was really happening, Controlling it but also letting it just take me with its intrusive magic . . . . And here is the result :)

  I really hope you enjoy it and it fills you with a little bit of magic.  Its a continuing story that is uploaded each day from now til Christmas so please do pop back to follow the story :)

Spring . . .Just around the corner

Hello, WOW Spring almost . . .Already ??? This year seems to of gone faster than a GeeGee on a speedboat !! It only seems 2 mins since we were pigging out on christmas dinner and fighting over the last christmas cracker !! And now, its almost Easter !!!

So what have i been upto lately ?  Well not alot really, I have alot of stuff i am tied up with at home, lots of sorting and tidying as i feel as if my house is at bursting point with what it can fit in, and the garage has become the storage for EVERYTHING most of it absolutely useless hoarding !!  So a spring clean is in order in the Funky household :)

Other than that not really alot else to report on, My creative energy is at a complete standstill, I will get back to it but with all the other things i have going on at the moment i am just exhausted ! I have yet to create anything productive, but i will.

I have been spending time with my little friend Smurf Chocolate Buttons :)  After a stressful day there is nothing better than some equine company with your best four legged friend who is always there to listen to any ramblings or rants you may have brewing and need to let out.  Thank goodness he cannot talk, thats all i will say.  And if he suddenly starts walking away ignoring me, WELL I suppose ive probably rambled on quite enough.  He is such good company though, and such a good mood enhanser, you cannot help but smile when you are around him.  And watching him grow and learn new things is such a wonderful experience. Im so so proud of my ikkle bundle of fluff :)

He's such a little beauty, I know i am biased ;P  But He really has turned into a little topper :)

Wow and woosh !! Where did the time go !!

Well helloooooooo my funky fans :) 

And I would like to take this opportunity to 

wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR :)

Gosh, It has been a really long time since i posted last. Eeeeeek and Ooooops.  I Didn't mean to leave it so long to post but I've just had sooooo much going on with Baby funky starting school (OMG . . . . Emotional wasn't the word, Seeing her in her little uniform and waving goodbye to my baby and picking up my big girl was a Yank at every emotional string there was inside of me, Both Children at school, Huuuuuge emotional Milestone. It was very tough for me, but i'm getting used to it slowly, and filling my time slowly and getting into new routines as you have to, just curb and adapt to change the best you can . Looking at the positives,  I have more time now to create lots and lots of  funkyness : )

Then once i got over the initial shock of that, I found myself not very well for a while and took some time to get back on my feet, So of course not much happened creatively for a while.
And then the Christmas build-up Absolutely brilliant, but busy, busy. Coupled the emotions of Both Children in their Christmas nativity, THIS WAS A TOUGH ONE . . . .  . Eeeeeek teary moment indeed. But i survived hahahaha, and i must admit after the mayhem of Christmas, tiredness has allowed me to enjoy the time now they are back at school after their Christmas break.  We have had a fantastic time, really have enjoyed every single magical moment with them.  Making memories :)

So a good start to the winter, Magical memories and making plans.

So then what are the plans for 2014 with the Funky GeeGee's ??


Well I sat after the New Year, with my coffee as i debated over ever letting another drop of alcohol pass my lips (I had a few drinks at New Year and lets say the next day was just not worth it hahahaha).

ANYWAYS  . . . . I wrote down a list of the things i'd like to achieve in 2014, I think i got bit carried away, and well maybe ive planned the next decade. But hey . . . . At least I'm forward planning hahahaha.  Anyways, re-evaluating my list into priorities and deciding what,where, when, who, and how well I have now devised myself a canny little work planner to get through week by week. Ive also made time to have time off from creating to write, and expand on my photography skills.  Im also going to make my health my main priority, i really need to keep myself in a healthy routine this year and not try and do 100001 at once.

So 2014 I plan to hopefully FINALLY get this book finished, I also have another book written that I need to illustrate which I hope to publish in 2014 ( If life behaves itself, and time takes it's time hahaha ).

I also had a think of what paintings I would like to do this year, And last year my theme was SUMMER FUNKY HOLIDAYS so i was thinking this year we would be a little more traditional but just as FUNKY, and just as many Giggles :)

This years theme is going to be ' INSIDE THE MIND OF THE COMPETITION HORSE' As we journey through the seasons, from the Weekly showjumping qualifyer to the Big County fair with all the hustle and bustle and mayhem we will find there :)` It's guarenteed to be full of Giggles, and hopefully plenty of chance for reminissing.

I'm really looking forward to these, And im hoping to capture the seasons from winter through spring and summer and beyond. With mishap, mayhem and madness all along the way.

So, Id like to share with you my work from the End of 2013, A very Christmasy time indeed :) ENJOY :)
